Brasov keeps Antonescu for another season

CSM Corona Brasov (Liga Nationala) re-signed 21-year old 198cm forward David Antonescu, agency: One Motive Sports for the new season. He played there last season. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 37 Liga Nationala games, he averaged 4.9ppg, 3.5rpg, and 1.0apg. He also played 8 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 4.1ppg and 3.4rpg. The previous (2024-25) season, he played at another Romanian team BCM U FC Arges Pitesti. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. Antonescu also played 28 games in Liga Nationala where he got just 1.9ppg and 1.0rpg in that year.
He represented Romania at the World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr (Germany) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 9.7 points per game and had 4.2 rebounds per game.
Antonescu has played also in Spain, Romania, and Spain. He has played for Real Betis and Real Betis Baloncesto Sevilla 2nd team in Spain, and for Dinamo Bucuresti, Focsani, Targu Jiu, and Voluntari in Romania.
In 2025, his team reached the Romanian Cup Final Four.
