Trabzonspor sign a second USA player, ex Kawasaki BT

Newly promoted Trabzonspor Medical Park Basketbol (BSL) signed 29-year-old USA ex-international 206cm center Emanuel Terry (college: LMU) for the upcoming season. He joins another USA player Troy Caupain who is already on the roster. Terry most recently played for Kawasaki Brave Thunders in the Japanese B1 League, where he averaged 10.8ppg, 6.7rpg, and 2.0apg in 57 games last season. He was voted League Player of the Week during that time. In the previous 2024-25 season, he played for Besiktas in the Turkish BSL, averaging 7.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.1spg in 38 games. Terry helped Besiktas reach both the league and Cup finals after finishing the regular season as the second-best team. He was selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League Honorable Mention team for his performance. Terry was also a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2021.
He is a very experienced player. Terry has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to ten different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played professionally in France (Entente Orleans 45), Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Italy (Trieste and Udine), Japan, Serbia (Crvena zvezda), NBA (Miami Terryat, Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Stockton Kings, Cleveland Charge and San Diego Clippers), South Korea (Samsung Thunders), Turkey (Bandirma and Manisa) and NBA Summer League (Orlando Magic, OKC Thunder and Sacramento Kings).
He won the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League championship title in 2021 among many awards. He received the All-SAC Player of the Year award and the All-SAC Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2018.
Terry graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 2018 and this will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
