LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) added 30-year old German-American ex-international point guard Nick Weiler-Babb (196cm-92kg-1995, college: Iowa State) to their roster for the 2026-27 season. Weiler-Babb, who was the assist leader at Anadolu Efes in the Turkish BSL league, averaged 4.9ppg, 3.5rpg, and 3.9apg in 28 games. He also played 37 games in the Euroleague, averaging 7.7ppg, 3.4rpg, 4.8apg, and 1.2spg. Prior to joining LDLC ASVEL, he spent five seasons (2020-25) at Bayern Muenchen (BBL) in Germany, where he played in three different competitions. In the 2024-25 season, he played 33 games in the German BBL, averaging 6.6ppg, 4.5rpg, 5.3apg, and 1.7spg.
Weiler-Babb represented Germany at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. Weiler-Babb's team got to the Semifinals and he had almost 4 points per game.
He has also played professionally in Germany, between EnBW Ludwigsburg.
Among many awards, his team made it to the German Cup Final Four in 2025. Weiler-Babb was also voted Eurobasket.com Euroleague Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.
Weiler-Babb graduated from Iowa State in 2019 and is entering his eighth season as a professional player. He also played for The University of Arkansas for one year.
