Defending champion KK Buducnost VOLI Podgorica (Erste Liga) re-signed 33-year old double-passport holder American 183cm point guard Yogi Ferrell (college: Indiana) for the new season. He has played there for the last two seasons. Ferrell managed to play in three leagues last year. The team competed in three different competitions, exposing him to basketball on different levels. In 18 Eurocup games, he averaged 13.2ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.1apg, and 1.1spg. Ferrell also played 28 games in ABA League, where he had 13.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 4.4apg, and 1.1spg. Finally, he contributed to 4 games in Erste Liga, recording impressive stats: 17.5ppg, 5.0rpg, 6.8apg, and 1.8spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Ferrell, a highly experienced player, has gained valuable experience in six different countries on three different continents thanks to his career in professional basketball. He has played in China (Sharks), Greece (Panathinaikos), Slovenia (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana), the NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, and Sacramento Kings), the NBA G League (SLC Stars), and The Basketball Tournament (Assembly Ball). He is well-versed in European, Asian, and North American leagues.
Among many awards, his team won the Adriatic League Regular Season in 2025. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention in 2025.
Ferrell graduated from Indiana University in 2016 and this will be his eleventh season in pro basketball.
