Bordo inks Berk Demir

Berk Demir

Newly promoted Bordo Sportif Balikesir (BS) signed 31-year old ex-international power forward Berk Demir (204cm-1995) for the upcoming 2026-27 season. He will stay in Turkey, where he played last season at Trabzonspor. In 32 BSL games in Turkey, he had 4.5ppg, 3.7rpg, and 1.3apg. The previous (2024-25) season, he played at another Turkish team Tofas (also in BSL). He also played 30 games in BSL, where he recorded 4.7ppg and 3.3rpg that year.
Demir was also a member of the Turkish international program for some years. He played for Turkish Senior National Team between 2021 and 2022 and previously for the Under 18 National Team during 2013.
Demir has played previously for four other teams: Efes, Darussafaka Lassa, Turk Telekom, and ITU Basket Istanbul.
His team won the Turkish League Regular Season in 2023.
