Matteo Imbro agreed terms with Rieti

Matteo Imbro

SSD Real Sebastiani Rieti (Serie A2) signed 32-year-old former international Matteo Imbro, a 192cm point guard, for the upcoming season. Imbro, who previously played for Fortitudo Flat Service Bologna, averaged 6.6ppg, 1.9rpg, and 1.6apg in 28 Serie A2 games last season. He also helped his team reach the Supercup semifinals. In the 2024-25 season, he played for Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro in Serie A.
Imbro was also a member of the Italian international program for some years. He played for the Italian Senior National Team in 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2013.
Imbro represented Italy at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. Imbro's team won Gold and he averaged almost 10 points per game.
He has played previously for seven other teams: Verona, Trapani, Scafati, Siena Virtus, Ferentino, Agrigento, and Siena Virtus.
Imbro won the Italian Serie A2 Silver championship title in 2024. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com Italian Serie A2 All-Domestic Players Team in 2019.
