TalTech keeps Niits for another season

Tormi Niits

TalTech/OPTIBET Tallinn (KML) re-signed 28-year old 198cm small forward Tormi Niits for the upcoming season. He played there last season, managing to play in three leagues last year. In 10 KML games, he recorded 11.3ppg, 5.1rpg, and 2.3apg, helping the team reach the semifinals. Niits also played 14 games in Lat-Est BL, averaging 11.6ppg, 6.4rpg, and 1.5apg, and contributed to 4 games in the European North Basketball League with 11.0ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.3spg. He briefly played for another Estonian team, Keila Korvpallikool.
Niits has played previously for three other teams: Rapla, Parnu, and Tarvas.
Among many awards, his team made it to the Estonian final in 2021. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Division B Honorable Mention back in 2018.
