Poirier re-signs at Caen

Darel Poirier

Caen Basket Calvados (ProB) confirmed 28-year-old center Darel Poirier (207cm-1997) in their roster for the upcoming 2026-27 season. He played there last season. In 15 ProB games, he had 8.3ppg, 6.5rpg, and 1.0apg. He also played for Melilla Ciudad del Deporte (Segunda FEB) in the Spanish league.
In 2018, he was selected by the Canton Charge (G-League) in the first round (7th overall) draft.
Poirier is a highly experienced player, having played for teams in Greece (Charilaos), Spain (Estudiantes), France (Pau Lacq Orthez, Cholet Basket, Le Mans, Nantes, and Pole France), the NBA G League (Windy City Bulls and Capital City Go-Go), and the NBA Summer League (San Antonio Spurs).
Poirier played in the final of the Spanish LEB Oro Play-Off in 2022.
