Newcomer of Turkish Basketball Super League, Cayirova Belediye Kocaeli (BSL) has re-signed 29-year-old American 213cm center Nysier Brooks (college: Ole Miss, agency: Slash Sports) for the upcoming season. He was a team leader there last season. In 13 TBL games, he averaged an impressive 16.1ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.5apg, 1.7spg, and 1.4bpg. He helped them win the cup and finish the regular season at the top position. He was voted League Player of the Week twice. Brooks also played for Hapoel Holon in the Israeli league, where he played 6 games and averaged 4.5ppg and 3.3rpg. Brooks is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Brooks has played professionally in Canada, France (SIG Strasbourg), Israel, Latvia (VEF Riga), Russia (Samara), Taiwan (DEA) and The Basketball Tournament (Nasty Nati and Magic Show). Among many awards, he won the Latvian League championship title in 2023. He was selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Honorable Mention in 2023. Brooks graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2022 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges such as the University of Miami and the University of Cincinnati.
