Nazareth Mitrou-Long (ex Napoli) signs at PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki

Nazareth Mitrou-Long

Defending champion PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki (GBL) has signed 32-year-old Greek-Canadian international 193cm guard Nazareth Mitrou-Long (college: Iowa State) for the upcoming season. He last played for Gevi Napoli Basket in the Italian Serie A, averaging 13.4ppg, 5.3rpg, and 4.3apg in 22 games last season, earning him the title of League Player of the Week. Prior to that, he spent two seasons (2023-25) with Olympiacos S.F.P. Piraeus, playing 19 games in the Greek GBL and averaging 5.0ppg, 1.7rpg, and 1.6apg in the 2024-25 season. Mitrou-Long contributed to Olympiacos' league title win, despite finishing the regular season in second place. He has been a regular member of the Greek Senior National Team since 2024.
Mitrou-Long has played professionally in Lithuania (Zalgiris), NBA (Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers), NBA G League (SLC Stars and Noblesville Boom), and NBA Summer League (Cleveland Cavaliers). He is a very experienced player.
Among many awards, he was selected as the Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A Rookie of the Year in 2022.
Mitrou-Long graduated from Iowa State in 2017 and is entering his tenth season in professional basketball.
