Aliaga Petkimspor Izmir (BSL) re-signed 30-year old Lithuanian ex-international 208cm center Martynas Sajus for the upcoming season. He played there last season. In 30 BSL games, he recorded 9.5ppg, 4.7rpg, and 1.4apg. He also played 13 games in FIBA Europe Cup, where he averaged 11.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.6apg, and 1.0bpg. Sajus helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. He was also a member of the Lithuanian international program for some years. Sajus played for Lithuanian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2016. He also represented Lithuania at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. His team won Gold and he averaged 5 points per game. Sajus is a very experienced player. He has played between Germany (Bayreuth), Italy, Lithuania (Zalgiris, Lietkabelis, Zalgiris Kaunas 2nd team and Zalgiris), Poland (Wilki Morskie and Kociewskie Diably) and Spain (Breogan Lugo and BAXI Manresa). Sajus' team achieved a spot in the Lithuanian Cup Final Four in 2020. Sajus received the Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention in 2022.
