Newcomer of Turkish Basketball Super League,Cayirova Belediye Kocaeli (BSL) has re-signed 29-year-old American 193cm guard Roberto Gallinat for the new season. Gallinat, who played college basketball at Pacific and is represented by Octagon Europe, will be joining fellow American player Nysier Brooks on the team. Gallinat was a team leader for Cayirova Belediye Kocaeli last season, averaging 19.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.4apg, and 1.2spg in 33 TBL games. He helped the team win the cup and finish the regular season in first place. Gallinat's performance earned him a spot on the Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL All-Imports Team, as well as League Player of the Week honors four times and a place on the Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Second Team. He is a very experienced player. Gallinat has played professionally in Denmark (Horsens IC), France (Sluc Nancy), Greece (Aris and Karditsas), Israel (Ramat Gan), Italy (RO Eurobasket), Turkey (Pinar Karsiyaka and Yalovaspor) and The Basketball Tournament (The Nawf). He won the WJCAC championship title in 2017 among many awards. He was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Greek GBL Honorable Mention in 2024. Gallinat graduated from University of Pacific in 2019 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball. He played also for South Plains College for 2 years.
