TalTech/OPTIBET Tallinn (KML) has re-signed 29-year-old international 184cm point guard Siim-Markus Post for the new season. He has played there for the last two seasons. Post managed to play in three leagues last year. In 7 KML games, he averaged 13.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 14.0apg, and 5.9bpg, helping the team reach the semifinals. He was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Estonian KML Domestic Player of the Year and was voted to the All-Domestic Players Team. Post was also selected to the Eurobasket.com Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Third Team. In the Lat-Est BL, he played 26 games with 14.3ppg, 4.1rpg, and 6.9apg, leading in assists. Additionally, he contributed to 9 games in the European North Basketball League, recording 8.1ppg, 3.4rpg, 6.4apg (leader), and 1.4spg.
He has also been a member of the Estonian international program for some years. Post has regularly played for the Estonian senior team since 2020 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2016.
He also represented Estonia at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 1.7 points per game and had rebounds per game.
Post has played previously for five other teams: Tarvas, Tallinn Kalev, KK Hito, Parnu, and Viimsi.
His team reached the Estonian Cup final in 2023.
