Defending champion Petrolina AEK Larnaca (ECOMMBX BL) has re-signed 28-year old Australian 203cm forward Jesse Hunt (college: EWU) for the upcoming season. He is the second foreign player in the roster, with USA's Jamar Diggs having signed earlier. Hunt has played with the team for the last five seasons, during which he played in three different leagues. In 28 ECOMMBX BL games last year, he averaged 10.4ppg, 7.8rpg, and 2.9apg, helping the team win the league title and the Supercup. He was voted League Player of the Week and selected to Eurobasket.com All-Cypriot League Second Team. Additionally, Hunt played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 8.8ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.7apg, and 1.0bpg, and 1 game in Basketball Champions League, where he recorded 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
He is a very experienced player. Hunt has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia, and North America). He has played professionally in Germany (Rasta Vechta), Hungary (Szedeak), Turkey (Manisa), and Australia (Buccaneers).
Hunt was voted to the Cypriot League All-Star Game in 2025.
He graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2019 and this will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
