BC Slovan Bratislava (Tipos SBL) has re-signed 25-year-old international 217cm center Tomas Pavelka for the upcoming season. Pavelka played there last season, recording 9.4ppg, 7.0rpg, and 1.5bpg in 42 Tipos SBL games. He helped them reach the Slovakian League final and was voted League Player of the Week twice, as well as selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian League Second Team. Pavelka also played 8 games in the European North Basketball League, averaging 9.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.3bpg. In the previous (2024-25) season, he played for Neptunas Klaipeda (LKL) in the Lithuanian league.
He has also been a member of the Slovakian international program for some years. Pavelka has regularly played for the Slovakian senior team since 2020 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2018.
He also represented Slovakia at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers last year. During this event, he scored an average of 13.5 points per game and had 8.3 rebounds per game.
Pavelka is a very experienced player, having played in Estonia (Tartu), Lithuania (Siauliai), Spain (Zunder Palencia, Castello, Valencia Basket 2nd team, and Palma Fibwi), and Czech Republic (GBA Sparta and GBA Praha).
In 2024, he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian League Honorable Mention among many awards.
