Bordo keeps Ulubay for another season

Okben Ulubay

Newly promoted Bordo Sportif Balikesir (BSL) re-signed 29-year-old ex-international 201cm swingman Okben Ulubay for the 2026-27 season. He was a team leader there last season. In 32 TBL games, he recorded impressive stats: 18.9ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.3apg, and 1.4spg. He helped them win the TBL title. Ulubay was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Domestic Player of the Year and voted to the All-Defensive Team and selected to the All-Domestic Players Team. Ulubay also played for another Turkish team, Trabzonspor Medical Park Basketbol, earlier that season.
He was also a member of the Turkish international program for some years. Ulubay played for Turkish Senior National Team between 2022 and 2024 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2016.
He also represented Turkey at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. His team won Bronze and he averaged over 3 points per game.
Ulubay has played in Serbia (KK FMP SoccerBet Beograd), Turkey (Efes, Darussafaka Lassa, Turk Telekom, Galatasaray, and Besiktas), and Serbia.
