Both Gach joins ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket

LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) has agreed terms with 27-year-old American (who also holds a South Sudanese passport) swingman, Both Gach (201cm-88kg-1999, college: Utah) for the new 2026-27 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster, with Mali's Amadou Sow having signed earlier. Gach played last season at JL Bourg en Bresse (Betclic ELITE ProA), where in 33 games he averaged 12.6ppg, 2.9rpg, and 1.9apg. He also played 24 games in Eurocup, averaging 13.5ppg, 3.5rpg, and 1.9apg. Gach was voted Eurobasket.com Eurocup Forward of the Year and named to the Eurobasket.com Eurocup Second Team for his impressive performance. In the previous 2024-25 season, he played at Darussafaka Lassa (BSL) in the Turkish league. Gach has been a regular member of the South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2025.
He has also played professionally in Finland (Nokia), Kosovo (Sigal Prishtina), and Turkey.
Among many awards, he won the Finnish League championship title in 2024. Gach was also selected as the Eurobasket.com All-Finnish Korisliiga Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Finnish Korisliiga Import Player of the Year in 2024.
He graduated from the University of Utah in 2022 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player. Gach also played for the University of Minnesota for one year.
