Kakruki comes back to Bashkimi

Valmir Kakruki

KB Bashkimi Prizren (Superliga) strengthened their roster with the addition of 25-year-old 203cm power forward Valmir Kakruki, agency: BIG, for the 2026-27 season. It is actually his comeback to Prizren as he has played here before. He played most recently at Sigal Prishtina (Superliga). In 23 games, he recorded 6.9ppg, 3.2rpg, and 1.0apg last season. He helped them to make it to the Kosovo Cup Semifinals. Kakruki also played 6 games in the European North Basketball League where he averaged 4.3ppg and 2.8rpg. For the two previous seasons (2023-25), he played at Cair 2030 Skopje (Prva Liga) in the North Macedonian league.
He represented Kosovo at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers last year. During this event, he scored an average of 3 points per game and had 2.5 rebounds per game.
Kakruki has played previously for five other North Macedonian teams: Rabotnicki, Vardar, Akademija FMP Skopje, Vardar, and MZT Skopje U19 team.
Among many awards, his team won the Kosovo League Regular Season in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 Division B Honorable Mention back in 2018.
