Cluj Napoca sign a second USA player, ex Siroki

Defending champion U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Liga Nationala) has signed 25-year old American 203cm forward Jalyn McCreary (college: Mercer, agency: 011 Sports) for the new season. He joins another USA player Otis Livingston II who is already on the roster. McCreary was the second-best scorer at Siroki in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. In 31 games, he averaged an impressive 19.3ppg, 7.9rpg, and 1.5apg last season, helping them win the regular season and reach the semifinals. He was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Import Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Defensive Player of the Year, and Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Player of the Year. McCreary also played 14 games in the ABA League, where he had remarkable stats: 16.6ppg, 7.1rpg, and 1.5apg. He was awarded Eurobasket.com All-ABA League 2 Forward of the Year, voted to the All-Defensive Team
During the previous (2024-25) season, he played for AVIS UTILITAS Rapla (KML) in the Estonian league.
McCreary graduated from Mercer University in 2024 and is entering his third season in pro basketball. He won the Adriatic League 2 championship title in 2026. He also played for other colleges such as the University of South Florida and the University of South Carolina.
