Sportiva Italiana Valparaiso (LNB) landed 30-year old USA-Haitian 198cm forward Wes Alcegaire (college: BGSU). He played recently at Sameji in Santiago League in Dominican Republic. He also played for Soles in Mexican LBE where in four Santiago League games he averaged impressive 21.0ppg, 5.8rpg, 3.3apg and 1.3spg last season.
Alcegaire is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Alcegaire has played previously professionally in Argentina (La Union and Regatas), Bosnia (Bratunac), Holland (ZZ Leiden), Kosovo (Rahoveci), Mexico, Slovakia (Inter Bratislava), Sweden (Nassjo) and Uruguay (Defensor).
Among many awards his team won Slovakian League Regular Season in 2020. He was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Forward of the Year back in 2019.
Alcegaire graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2017 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: Daytona State College, Liberty University.
