Samuel Hunter

BC Vienna (BSL) signed 24-year-old Bahamas international 206cm forward Samuel Hunter (college: Akron, agency: One Motive Sports) for the upcoming season. He last played at Trepca in the Kosovan Superliga. Hunter played in three leagues last year. In 37 Superliga games, he averaged 9.3ppg, 3.2rpg, and 1.1apg. He helped his team win the league title and the Supercup. Hunter also played 5 games in the FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 8.6ppg, 3.0rpg, and 1.6apg. In addition, he played 2 games in the Basketball Champions League, where he averaged an impressive 19.0ppg, 5.0rpg, and 3.5apg.
Hunter has been a member of the Bahamas international program for some years. He has played for the Bahamas senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 17 National Team in 2017.
Hunter also represented Bahamas at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) last year. During this event he scored an average of 3 ppg and had rpg.
Among many awards, he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Centrobasket U17 Honorable Mention back in 2017 during high school.
He graduated from the University of Akron in 2024 and it'll be his second season in pro basketball. Hunter played also for The University of Mississippi for 3 years.
