Taylor comes back to Turk Telekom

Tony Taylor

Turk Telekom Ankara (BSL) added experienced 35-year-old Russian point guard Tony Taylor (184cm-87kg-1990, college: GWU) to their roster for the new 2026-27 season. It is his comeback to Turk Telekom as he has played here before. He played last season at Trabzonspor in TBL, helping his team get promotion to BSL. In 28 games, he recorded 11.1ppg, 1.9rpg, and 4.6apg. During the previous (2024-25) season, he played at UNICS Kazan (VTB United League) in Russia. Taylor also played for Bahcesehir earlier that season.
In 2012, he was drafted by the Tulsa 66ers (D-League) in the second round (32nd overall).
He graduated from George Washington University and is in his 15th season in pro basketball.
Taylor attempted to reach the NBA and participated in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
He is quite an experienced player. Taylor has played professionally in France (SIG Strasbourg), Italy (Virtus Bologna), Poland (PGE Turow), Russia (Enisey), Turkey (Pinar Karsiyaka and Bandirma), NBA G League (OKC Blue), and The Basketball Tournament (Overseas Elite).
Among many awards, his team won the Turkish League Regular Season in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A Honorable Mention back in 2019. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Turk Telekom.
