Jason Burnell leaves Brescia

Jason Burnell

28-year-old American 201cm forward Jason Burnell, who played college basketball at Jax State, has left Germani Brescia Leonessa in Serie A. He played for the team during the last season as well. In 37 games in Italy, he averaged 13.5ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.8apg, and 1.0spg. Burnell helped the team reach the Supercup final and was voted League Player of the Week twice.
Burnell is a very experienced player, having played professionally in the USA, Italy (Cantu, Sassari, and Brindisi), the NBA Summer League (Denver Nuggets), and The Basketball Tournament (Florida TNT).
Among many awards, Burnell played in the final of the Italian League in 2025. He was selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Italian League All-Imports Team in 2025.
Burnell graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2019 and is currently in his eighth season in pro basketball. He has also played for other colleges such as St. Petersburg College and Georgia Southern University.
