Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul (BSL) re-signed 28-year old American 185cm guard Malachi Flynn (college: SDSU) for new season. He was a team leader there last season. In 33 BSL games he averaged impressive 15.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 4.9apg and 1.4spg. He was also voted League Player of the Week (2 times). Flynn also played 21 games in Eurocup where he had very remarkable stats: 17.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.8apg and 1.7spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com Eurocup All-Defensive Team, All-Imports Team and Eurobasket.com Eurocup First Team.
The previous (2024-25) season he played at the Hornets in NBA. The other team he played shortly was Spurs in NBA G League. Another team he played briefly were the Spurs in NBA.
In 2020 he was drafted by Toronto Raptors (NBA) in first round (29th overall). The former San Diego State University standout is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
Flynn was a member of USA Under 19 National Team back in 2017.
He has played previously for four other NBA teams: Detroit Pistons, NY Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Raptors 905 Mississauga.
Among many awards he won NBA G League Eastern Conference championship title in 2022. Flynn was voted to USBasket.com All-NBA G League All-Defensive Team in 2025. He played also for Washington State University for 2 years.
