Meskonyte re-signs at Kibirkstis

Gabija Meskonyte

Kibirkstis Vilnius (Moteru Lyga) confirmed in their roster 28-year old international forward Gabija Meskonyte (181cm-1998) for the new 2026-27 season. She played there last season. She managed to play in four leagues last year. The team played in four different competitions that year, and she had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 18 Moteru Lyga games, she recorded 10.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.9apg, and 1.2spg. Meskonyte helped them to win the League title and the cup. A very impressive season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian League All-Defensive Team, All-Domestic Players Team, and League Player of the Week. She also played 2 games in Euroleague where she averaged 5.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.0spg. Meskonyte also played 10 games in Eurocup where she got 6.9ppg, 3.3rpg, and 1.5apg. And
During the 2024-25 season, she split her time between Royals in the German league and LCC Tarptautinis Universitetas Klaipeda.
Meskonyte has been a member of the Lithuanian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Lithuanian senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2016.
Meskonyte is a highly experienced player, having played in Germany, Latvia (TTT Riga), Poland (Wisla), Spain (Gernika), Turkey (Adana), and Lithuania (Jaunieji Talentai and Jaunieji Talentai Vilnius 2nd team).
Among many awards, she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EWBL Honorable Mention back in 2019.
