Budivelnyk lands Veronika Liubinets, ex Trutnov

Veronika Liubinets

Budivelnyk Kyiv (Superleague) has signed 26-year-old Ukrainian 192cm center Veronika Liubinets. She last played for Kara Trutnov in the ZBL league in the Czech Republic, averaging 4.7ppg and 4.6rpg in 10 games during the 2024-25 season. Prior to that, she played for Peja 03 in the Kosovan league, where she put up impressive stats in 7 games in the Kosovan Superliga: 15.9ppg, 15.1rpg, 2.4apg, 2.4spg, and 2.9bpg in the 2024-25 season. Liubinets helped her team reach the Kosovan League final after finishing the regular season as the second-best team, earning her the title of League Player of the Week.
Liubinets was also a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. She played for Ukrainian Senior National Team between 2019 and 2024 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2017.
Liubinets is a very experienced player. She has played between Hungary (PINKK-Pecsi), Kosovo, Poland (Poznan), Romania (Cluj Napoca and Targu Mures), and Ukraine (Kyiv Basket, KSLI-Kyiv, and Prometey).
Liubinets' team won the Ukrainian Cup in 2021. She was selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Honorable Mention in 2024.
