Summary of the Case:
The US-Macedonian player DeWanna Bonner (193-G-1987, college: Auburn) filed a claim against the Turkish club Mersin Yenisehir Belediyesi Cukurova Basketbol Kulubu (Cukurova Basketbol Mersin) for outstanding salaries, bonuses and interest, following a season-ending injury and a dispute over her medical treatment. The club counterclaimed for a penalty equal to her annual salary, arguing she had left without justification by undergoing surgery in the United States without its consent.
