Seattle Storm cut 28-year old 6-3 forward Joyner Holmes (college: Texas). She played there last season. In only one WNBA game she just recently played she had only 2 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocks.
The last season she played at Umana Reyer Venezia in Italian league. She played 26 games in Italian Serie A1 where she averaged 8.3ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.2apg. Holmes helped them to make it to both league and Supercup final after they ended regular season as second best team.
In 2020 she was drafted by Seattle Storm (WNBA) in second round (19th overall).
The former University of Texas standout is in her eighth season in pro basketball.
She is a very experienced player. Holmes has played also professionally in Greece (Athinaikos), Israel (Maccabi Raanana), Italy (Sassari), Turkey (Botas and Kayseri), Ukraine (Prometey) and other WNBA teams (Connecticut Sun, New York Liberty, LA Sparks and LV Aces).
Among many awards she won WNBA Western Conference championship title in 2021. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 All-Imports Team in 2025. Holmes played also for High School for one year.
