Mykonos keep Mantzaris for another season

Vangelis Mantzaris

Mykonos Betsson BC (GBL) re-signed experienced 36-year-old ex-international 196cm guard Vangelis Mantzaris for the upcoming season. He has played there for the last two seasons.
He was also a member of the Greek international program for some years. Mantzaris played for Greek Senior National Team between 2011 and 2020 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2010.
He is a very experienced player. Mantzaris has played also in Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Italy (Roseto), Poland (Stal), Russia (UNICS Kazan), Venezuela (Panteras) and Greece (Peristeri, Olympiacos, PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, AEK BC Athens and Promitheas).
Among many awards, he won the Greek Elite League Play-Off championship title in 2025. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie B Nazionale Honorable Mention in 2024. Mantzaris is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Mykonos.
