Maxwell Lewis agreed terms with Zalgiris

Defending champion B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (LKL) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American 201cm forward Maxwell Lewis (college: Pepperdine) for season 2026-27. He played most recently at Juventus. In 22 LKL games in Lithuania he recorded 13.6ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2bpg last season. He helped them to make it to the Lithuanian League final. A very spectacular season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian League Import Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and voted to All-Defensive Team. Lewis also played for Tofas (BSL) in Turkish league. He also played 21 games in Turkish BSL where he averaged 4.9ppg and 2.3rpg.
Three years ago Denver Nuggets selected him as 0th overall pick in NBA draft. The former Pepperdine University standout Lewis graduated his college in 2023 and is in his fourth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Lewis has played also professionally in Turkey, NBA (LA Lakers and Brooklyn Nets), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers) and NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks).
Lewis' team won NBA In-Season Tournament in 2024.
