Cholet Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) signed 34-year-old Bosnian international 205cm center Miralem Halilovic for the upcoming season. He last played at Bosna in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. Halilovic played in three leagues last year. In four Division I games, he averaged 7.8ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.3apg, 1.3spg, and 1.3bpg. His team won the league title and the cup. In 10 FIBA Europe Cup games, he averaged 8.2ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.3apg, and 1.5spg, helping them reach the quarterfinals. In 21 ABA League games, he averaged 7.0ppg, 5.9rpg, and 1.7apg. In the previous (2024-25) season, he played at Dinamo BDS Sassari (Serie A) in the Italian league, where the team also competed in three different competitions.
Halilovic has also been a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior team since 2010 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2011.
Halilovic also represented Bosnia at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 14.4 points per game and had 6.2 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Halilovic has played between Croatia (Zagreb and Sibenka), Italy, Lithuania (Dzukija), Slovenia (Krka), Turkey (Fenerbahce and Galatasaray) and France (Metropolitans, JSF Nanterre and Entente Orleans 45) and Bosnia (Sloboda).
Among many awards, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Bosman Player of the Year in 2023.
