Bursaspor Basketbol (BSL) landed 25-year old Estonian international 202cm small forward Artur Konontsuk (college: Southern Miss) for upcoming season. Konontsuk is the second import player in the roster as USA Brandon Childress signed here earlier.
He played most recently at EWE Baskets Oldenburg in German BBL league. In 30 games he averaged 12.4ppg, 5.9rpg and 2.1apg last season.
The previous (2023-24) season he played at Coviran Granada in Spanish Liga Endesa. But in 16 games he had just 1.9ppg and 1.4rpg in that year.
He also represented Estonia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 Division B in Skopje (North Macedonia) seven years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 8 games: 7.4ppg, 3.4rpg, FGP: 60.7%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 57.1%.
He has played also professionally for other Estonian teams like Kalev/Cramo and Parnu.
Konontsuk graduated from University of Southern Mississippi in 2021 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
