The 34-year old Croatian ex-international power forward Ivan Buva left Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia (Serie A2). In 10 games in Italy, he recorded very impressive stats: 21.7ppg, 9.8rpg, and 1.2apg this season. He also played for Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (DLBL) in the Lebanese league. He played 8 games in the Lebanese DLBL, where he averaged a remarkable 15.5ppg, 7.9rpg, and 1.0apg.
Buva was also a member of the Croatian international program for some years. He played for Croatian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2018 and previously for the Under 20 National Team during 2011.
Buva is a very experienced player. He has played in Bosnia (Siroki), China (Anhui Wenyi), Croatia (Cedevita, HAKK Mladost Zagreb, and Krizevci), France (Monaco and JL Bourg), Iran (Tabiat), Japan (Grouses and Lakestars), Lebanon, Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Surne Bilbao), Turkey (Besiktas, Gaziantep, and Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi), and Italy (Verona and Avellino).
Buva was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Honorable Mention back in 2023 and played in the final of West Asia Super League Final 8 in 2025.
