Brillantes de Zulia (SPB) inked 32-year old USA-Armenian 183cm point guard Ryan Boatright (college: UConn). He moved there from Shahrdari Gorgan in Iranian Superleague, but the plans were changed. He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. Boatright represented USA at the European Championship 2025 years ago. He was best scorer at the event with 24.5 points per game, while added 6 rebounds per game. Boatright is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to sixteen different countries on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America). Boatright has played previously professionally in China, Croatia (Cedevita), France (Paris Basket), Greece (Apollon Patras), Israel (Bnei Hertzeliya), Italy (Orlandina), Lithuania (Rytas), Russia (Avtodor and Parma-Pari), Slovenia (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana), Spain (Unicaja), Turkey (Besiktas), NBA (Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets), Libya (Al Nasr), NBA G League (Texas Legends, Grand Rapids Gold and San Diego Clippers) and The Basketball Tournament (Heartfire and Stars of Storrs). Among many awards his team made it to the Adriatic League final in 2020. He was voted to VTB United League All-Star Game in 2023. Boatright graduated from University of Connecticut in 2015 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
