University of Connecticut tabbed 21-year old Bosnian 6-11 center Elmir Dzafic for the new season. He comes from Tuzla native, and he is moving here from The University of Arkansas where he played only for one year. But in 7 games last season he averaged just 0.4ppg. Dzafic's team ended the regular season as the second-best place in SEC in 2026. His team won the SEC Tournament. He helped his team make it to the NCAA Sweet 16.
Dzafic played at Buducnost Prolab Bijeljina between 2019-23 and then at KK Bosna Meridianbet Sarajevo for two seasons. He helped his team make it to the Srpska Republic Cup Finals in 2023. Dzafic was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA U18 European Championship Division B Honorable Mention that year. His team made it to the Bosnia and Herzegovina League Semifinals in two consecutive seasons: 2023 and 2024. His team won Bosnian 1.Liga RS Regular Season and Bosnian 1.Liga RS Championships in 2022. Dzafic's team ended regular season as the second-best place in Bosnian 1.Liga RS in 2021. He helped his team make it to the Bosnian 1.Liga RS Semifinals that year. Razorbacks also won Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup in 2024.
Dzafic represented Bosnia at the FIBA U18 European Championship Division B in Matosinhos (Portugal) three years ago. During this event he scored an average of 13.1 points per game and had rebounds per game.
