Chorale Roanne Basket (ProB) agreed terms with 32-year old American (has also Portuguese passport) small forward Travante Williams (193cm-91kg-1993, college: Alaska, agency: Inception Sports) for new 2026-27 season. He played last season at Le Mans Sarthe Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA). In 32 games he had 8.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.2apg and 1.6spg. ProB will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final and to the Cup final. Williams also played 14 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 9.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.4spg. 2025-26 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com Basketball Champions League Honorable Mention. The previous (2024-25) season he played at CSM CSU Oradea (Liga Nationala) in Romanian league. The team played in four different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball
He is a very experienced player. Williams has also played professionally in Georgia (Tskaltubo), Portugal (Sporting and Oliveirense), Romania, and Spain (BAXI Manresa).
Among many awards, his team won the Romanian League Regular Season in 2025. He was also voted the Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League Import Player of the Year back in 2021.
Williams graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2016 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. He also played for Adams State University for one year.
