Sagesse sign a second USA player, ex Shabab Al Ahli

Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (DLBL) signed American 201cm guard Deshawndre Washington (college: NM State) for the upcoming season. He will be playing alongside fellow American player Byron Wesley. Washington most recently played for Shabab Al Ahli in the UAE ULB league. During his time there, he averaged an impressive 25.9ppg, 11.0rpg, 8.8apg, and 1.1bpg in 9 West Asia Super League games last season. He was named League Player of the Week twice and also competed in the final of the Dubai International Tournament in 2026. During the previous summer of 2025, he played for The Shine in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament. Additionally, he played for Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) in the Libyan league. He has played professionally in Mexico with Halcones Rojos and in the ABA with Chicago Fury. He won the Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Import Player of the Year award in 2024. Washington attended New Mexico State University until 2023 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. He played in the final of Dubai International Tournament in 2026. Washington played for other colleges like: Northwest Florida State College, South Suburban College, Robert Morris University.
