In 2012 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in first round (25th overall). He attended University of Washington and it is his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball. Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Honorable Mention back in 2019.
