Vejen adds Wroten to their roster, ex Qurain

BK Vejen 1981 (BasketLigaen) added to their roster 32-year old American guard Tony Wroten (198cm-93kg-1993, college: Washington). In his first game he scored 14 points and added 4 assists. Despite his good performance his new team lost to Bakken Bears 69-108. He started the season at Qurain in Kuwaiti D1 league.
In 2012 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in first round (25th overall). He attended University of Washington and it is his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Wroten is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in sixteen different countries. He tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. Wroten has played professionally in France (Pau Lacq Orthez), Greece (Iraklis), Iceland (Selfoss), Latvia, Poland (Anwil), Spain (Joventut), Uruguay (Urupan), Venezuela (Bucaneros), NBA (NY Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers), Croatia (Zadar), Egypt (Zamalek), Estonia (Kalev/Cramo), NBA G League (Texas Legends, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Stockton Kings), The Basketball Tournament (Money Team) and Big3 (Tri-State).
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Honorable Mention back in 2019.
