Joffrey Lauvergne

Defending champion Al Kuwait SC (D1) added to their roster experienced 34-year old French ex-international center Joffrey Lauvergne (211cm-1991) for season 2025-26. Lauvergne has played for the last three years at Lyon-Villeurbanne in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 28 games he recorded 11.5ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.1apg last season. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French League Honorable Mention. Lauvergne also played 19 games in Euroleague where he averaged 11.3ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.1apg.
In 2013 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in second round (55th overall).
He was also a member of French international program for some years. Lauvergne played for French Senior National Team between 2013 and 2017 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2011.
He represented France at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 10.7ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 52.3%, 3PT: 37.5%, FT: 56.3%.
Lauvergne is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Lithuania (Zalgiris), Russia (Khimki), Serbia (Partizan), Spain (Valencia), Turkey (Fenerbahce) and NBA (Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs and OKC Thunder) and France (Pole France and Chalon/Saor). His team won Lithuanian Cup in 2021 and 2022.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Center of the Year back in 2021.
