Daniel Ochefu

Al Ittihad Tripoli (D1) landed 31-year old Nigerian ex-international 211cm forward Daniel Ochefu (college: Villanova, agency: BIG). Ochefu played recently at Arabi in Kuwaiti D1 league. The last season he played at Al Jaish (SBL) in Syrian league. He also spent pre-season at Metal (MBL) in Mongolian league. The other team he played shortly was Lioneers in Taiwanese PLeague+ where in only one game he had 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.
Ochefu has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He also represented Nigeria at the Afrobasket Championship eight years ago. Ochefu's team won Silver and his stats at that event were 5 games: 5.0ppg, 5.8rpg.
Ochefu is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Ochefu has played previously professionally in Japan (Robots), Korea (Samsung Thunders), Lebanon (Al Riyadi), Mexico (Libertadores), Philippines (TNT Tropang), Spain (Breogan Lugo), Venezuela (Gaiteros and Gladiadores), NBA (Boston Celtics, NY Knicks and Washington Wizards), NBA G League (Stockton Kings, Maine Celtics and Windy City Bulls) and The Basketball Tournament (Team 23 and Heartfire). His team won Big East Regular Season in 2014, 2015 and 2016. He was voted to All-Big East Honorable Mention back in 2015 and 2016.
He graduated from Villanova University in 2016 and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
