Hapoel Migdal Haemek/Emek Izrael/Nazareth Elite (National League) strengthened their roster with the addition of 32-year-old Bahamas-American ex-international forward Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201cm-113kg-1993, college: Murray State). He played last season at Paisas in the Colombian LBP league. In 18 games he recently played, he recorded 11.3ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.1spg. He helped them win the league title. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com Colombian LBP Apertura All-Imports Team and Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LBP Apertura First Team. Last season, he played at Hapoel Safed Galil. Augustin-Fairell also played for Denain Voltaire (ProB) in the French league. He was a member of the Bahamas Senior National Team back in 2018.
Augustin-Fairell is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). He has played in Argentina (Obras), Austria (BC Vienna), Belgium (Circus Brussels), Colombia, Dominican Republic (La Villa), France (Cholet Basket, JDA Dijon, ADA Blois, Chalon/Saor, and Etoile Angers), Portugal (FC Porto), and Israel (Galil Elion).
Among many awards, he was selected to the Eurobasket.com French ProB All-Imports Team in 2023.
Augustin-Fairell graduated from Murray State in 2015 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. He played also for Indian River State College for 2 years.
