Club Deportivo Valdivia (LNB) signed Gaspar Hernandez, a 26-year-old shooting guard, for the upcoming season. He had a standout performance at Sportiva Italiana last season, averaging 17.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.4apg, and 1.1spg in 36 LNB games in Chile. Hernandez was recognized as the best passer in the league and received accolades such as League Player of the Week and a spot on the Latinbasket.com All-Chilean League Second Team. In the previous season (2023-24), he played for CD Espanol Osorno.
Hernandez has played previously for Stadio Italiano.
He won the Chilean LNB 2 Zona Centro Regular Season in 2023. He got the Latinbasket.com All-Chilean LNB 2 Player of the Year award and Latinbasket.com All-Chilean LNB 2 Guard of the Year award in 2023.
