KK Bosna Meridianbet Sarajevo (Division I) added to their roster 31-year old Estonian international forward Janari Joesaar (198cm-93kg-1993, college: UTRGV) for season 2025-26. Joesaar is the second import player in the roster as USA Tayler Persons signed here earlier.
He played last season at Dziki in Polish OBL league. In 27 games he recorded 13.2ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg. He also played 9 games in European North Basketball League where he averaged 11.4ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
Joesaar won Estonian League championship title in 2018 and 2021.
The previous (2023-24) season he played at Anwil (OBL). In 35 games he had 7.5ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.1apg in that year. He contributed to his team winning the regular season. Joesaar also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he got 8.3ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.2apg in that year.
He has been a member of Estonian international program for some years. Joesaar has been regularly called to Estonian senior team since 2015 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2012.
He is quite experienced player. Joesaar has played also professionally in Germany (Bayreuth), Latvia, Spain (BAXI Manresa and Tenerife) and Estonia (Tartu and Kalev/Cramo).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-VTB League Honorable Mention back in 2021.
He graduated from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2016 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player. Joesaar won Estonian League championship title in 2018 and 2021. He played also for The University of Mississippi for one year.
