SPB 2026 - Guaiqueries draft James Reese V for the Semifinals

Guaiqueries de Margarita (SPB) added 27-year old American guard James Reese V (193cm-77kg-1998, college: S.Carolina) to their roster. He moved there from Trotamundos. In 29 SPB games in Venezuela just recently he recorded 13.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.3apg last season. Good year as he was named League Player of the Week. The last season he played at Squadron in NBA G League. He also played for another NBA G League team Lakers in NBA G League.
Reese is a highly experienced player, having played professionally on three continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America) in six different countries. He has played for teams in Argentina (Regatas), Mexico (Plateros), the United Kingdom (Sharks), the Dominican Republic (Reales), and Venezuela (Spartans and Brillantes), as well as in The Basketball Tournament (Best Virginia and Bleed Green). In 2026, his team reached the NBA G League Semifinals.
Reese was named to The Basketball Tournament All-Tournament Team in 2025.
Reese graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2022 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player. He played for other colleges such as the University of North Texas, Odessa College, and the University of Buffalo.
