SPB 2026 - Franger Pirela drafted by Marinos

Franger Pirela

Marinos de Anzoategui (SPB) drafted 23-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish international 187cm swingman Franger Pirela for the SPB 2026 playoffs. He transferred from Piratas. In four SPB games he recently played, he averaged 10.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.8apg, and 1.8spg last season. He last played at Comunicaciones Mercedes (La Liga) in the Argentinian league.
He also represented Venezuela at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) three years ago, where Pirela's team won Silver.
Pirela has played in Argentina, Spain (Grupo Eleyco Baskonia 2nd team, Melilla, and La Matanza), and Venezuela (Cocodrilos and Gladiadores).
Among many awards, his team won the Venezuelan SPB Group II Regular Season in 2024. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com Venezuelan SPB All-Rookie Team back in 2022.
