SPB 2026 - Windi Graterol comes back to Spartans, ex La Union

Windi Graterol

Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas (SPB) signed 39-year-old Venezuelan international 204cm center Windi Graterol. He is making a comeback to Caracas, where he has played before. Graterol moved to SPB from La Union in the Argentinian La Liga, but plans changed. In 41 games last season, he averaged 12.0ppg, 6.2rpg, and 1.1apg. Graterol helped his team reach the Argentinian Cup Semifinals. Prior to that, he played for Club Atletico Platense Florida in La Liga.
Graterol also represented Venezuela at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) three years ago. Graterol's team won Silver and he averaged nearly 1 point per game.
He is a very experienced player. Graterol has played also in Argentina (Boca Juniors and Olimpico), Brazil (Brasilia), Chile (CD Universidad de Concepcion), Colombia (Cimarrones), Mexico (Halcones de Ciudad Obregon), Puerto Rico (Capitanes), Uruguay (Goes and Bigua), Venezuela (Cocodrilos, Guaiqueries, Marinos, Guaros and Miranda) and Dominican Republic (Metros).
Among many awards, Graterol's team was the regular season runner-up in the Venezuelan SPB Group Oriental in 2025. He received the Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Comeback Player of the Year award and was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Honorable Mention in 2024. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Spartans.
