Nick King

New Taipei CTBC DEA (TPBL) landed 30-year old American 201cm forward Nick King (college: MTSU). It is actually his comeback to DEA as he has played here before. He is not a newcomer in Taiwanese League where he was the top scorer at Fubon Braves in the PLeague+ last season where in 20 games he averaged impressive 20.7ppg, 8.0rpg and 5.0apg. He helped them to make it to the Taiwanese PLeague+ final after they ended regular season as second best team. It was a very successful year in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Taiwanese PLeague+ All-Defensive Team, All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week (3 times).
The previous (2023-24) season he played at another Taiwanese team Ghosthawks.
In 2022 (four years after his graduation) he was drafted by Windy City Bulls (G-League) in first round (24th overall).
King graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. King has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played professionally in Colombia (Tigrillos), Holland (ZZ Leiden), Italy (Orlandina), Mexico (Soles), Philippines (Alab Pilipinas) and NBA G League (Maine Celtics).
Among many awards he won Taiwanese T1 League championship title in 2023. King received All-C-USA Player of the Year award back in 2018 at his college time. He played for other colleges like: The University of Alabama, University of Memphis.
