Jordan Tolbert (ex Knights) agreed terms with Kings

Defending champion New Taipei Kings (TPBL) strengthened their roster with the addition of 33-year-old American 200cm forward Jordan Tolbert (college: SMU). He started the season at Knights in the Mongolian MBL league. In 13 games, he recorded 11.2ppg, 6.5rpg, 3.7apg, and 1.5spg. Last season, he played for another Mongolian team, Broncos (also in MBL).
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Tolbert, a highly experienced player, has played professionally on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America) in nine different countries. He has played for teams in Belgium (Circus Brussels), France (Calvados and Hyeres-Toulon), Italy (Monferrato), Malaysia (NS Matrix and Penang Sunrise Youngsters), USA, Taiwan (Yulon Luxgen, Taiwan Beer, Dreamers, Pilots, and Suns), Dominican Republic (Soles), NBA G League (Texas Legends), and The Basketball Tournament (Johnnies and Air Raiders).
Among many awards he received were the Asia-Basket.com All-Malaysian MBL Player of the Year award and the Asia-Basket.com All-Malaysian MBL Import Player of the Year award in 2024.
Tolbert graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2016 and is currently in his tenth season in pro basketball. He also played for Texas Tech University for 3 years.
