Al Ittihad signs Hermes just out of college

Al Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo (SBL) signed 24-year old Syrian-Swedish ex-international forward David Hermes (208cm-109kg-2001, agency: Starting 5). He just graduated from UNC Asheville (NCAA). But in 7 games he had only 0.3ppg and 1.3rpg this season. He helped them to make it to the conference semifinals.
Hermes started his college career at Indian Hills Community College (JUCO) before transferring to The University of Texas San Antonio (NCAA). During his high school career, he spent time at Central Pointe Christian Academy in Kissimmee, FL.
As mentioned above, he is just out of college and it is his first full season as a pro. Hermes was a member of the Syrian Senior National Team between 2021 and 2023.
He won the NJCAA D1 North Central District championship title in 2024. Hermes played for other colleges such as The University of Texas San Antonio and Indian Hills Community College.
