Real Madrid to add Yurtseven to their roster

Defending champion Real Madrid (Liga Endesa) agreed terms wit 27-year-old Turkish-Uzbekistani international center Omer Yurtseven (213cm-120kg-1998, college: Georgetown) to their roster. He moved from GS Warriors in the NBA, where he played this season, recording 3.8ppg and 3.3rpg in 9 games.
He has also been a member of the Turkish international program for some years. Yurtseven has regularly played for the Turkish senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2017.
He also represented Turkey at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 15 points per game and had 8 rebounds per game.
Yurtseven is a highly experienced player, having played professionally in Greece (Panathinaikos), Turkey, NBA (Miami Heat and Utah Jazz), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, OKC Blue, and Rio Grande Valley Vipers), and NBA Summer League (Miami Heat).
Among many awards, his team won the Greek League Regular Season in 2025. He was also voted the Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Center of the Year in 2025.
Yurtseven graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 and is in his sixth season as a professional player. He also played for North Carolina State University for 2 years.
